Servings:
Makes 1.5 Cups, Goes Fast!Tastes exactly like the no-bake cookie dough I ate as a kid. Seems quite versatile. You can warm it up in the dehydrator, when refridgerated it gets hard. I broke it into pieces and served it as chocolate cereal for my four-year-old. But, its excellent straight from the bowl too!
Ingredients:
1 cup Rolled Oats
½ cup Maple Syrup or Date Syrup(dates blended with water)
½ cup Nut Butter, I
use Almond
¼ cup Cocoa or Carob Powder
Preparation:
Mix it up and you’re done.

1. Moncler Jackets For Women is
Moncler Jackets For Women is of best top quality and fashionably designed. When everywhere are fulled with Moncler Jackets this winter, let's have a good understanding of the material and function. There are many benefits from Moncler Down. Firstly, down insulation keeps the body much warmer, because it retains heat far better than synthetic materials. Secondly, down of the Womens Moncler Jackets On Sale is natural; it 'breathes' thus allowing it to lift moisture away from the body and eliminating odors easily.
2. I used Irish oats and some
I used Irish oats and some ground flax seed then substituted honey instead and they are great. I didn't use wax paper to put them on but I rubbed flax seed oil on a pizza pan and placed them on it and put them in the fridge.
3. I made these with leftover
I made these with leftover almond meal from a batch of almond milk I just made in place of the oat groats (thus my rating is based on altered ingredients) and it tastes pretty good! Filling, and will be a great snack for the times I get really hungry and just need a little something.
4. I just bought organic Whole
I just bought organic Whole Raw Rolled Oats from a grocery store here in Metro Atlanta. They are from LoveRawFoods (www.loverawfoods.com) and are a product of Blue Mtn Organics in Virginia - if anyone is interested in raw rolled oats! Looking forward to trying this recipe!
5. I just had a brain storm as
I just had a brain storm as I'm munching my oat groat version. You could blend up the oat groats in HS blender and then you'd have a dough. Brownies?! Little raw vanilla ice cream.. The plot thickens. ;)
6. I just made this for lunch.
I just made this for lunch. Yummy! I used maple syrup & agave (1/2 & 1/2) and added a dash of salt. I like a touch of salt with oats. I used Gluten Free Oat groats, but imagine the rolled would be super yummy. I used almond a cacoa too. Spread it on a banana and I'm on a sugar high! ;)
7.
I added peanut butter; but it made it way sweet; so it's like a chocolate bar in a bowl. But still really good.

I am transitioning as well; and only have normal peanut butter for now. Next month I am stalking up on Almond butter and the like. I will try the receipe with just plain old peanut butter. I can't wait to get rid of this jar. Thanks for the reciepe.

this is a great recipe! I added a couple handfuls of chopped nuts to mine. Also as far as the problem of rolled oats goes I'd try coconut flakes, I would imagine that would keep the chewyness.

I saw yeaterday on Alissa Cohen's website that she is selling trully raw rolled oats. Anybody know if they are trully raw?

Oat groats are not raw, either. There is one source of truly raw oats: www.sunorganic.com Just make sure you order hulless oats for sprouting; the oat groats are heated and so are the rolled oats. "Cacao, Oat, Nut butter Crack" - that's funny!

These were awesome and I had totally forgotten about no-bake cookies until I saw this, but the resemblance is dead on. I used date syrup. I know the oats are not raw, but I'm transitioning and I don't like to waste food, so I've been trying to figure out how to use my rolled oats without cooking them more. Great idea, thanks!

When I next use this recipe, I'm going to grind the oats a little first. This mixture was a little too chewy for me, though it did satisfy my incurable sweet tooth ;

Ok Ladies n Gents. If you can get past the idea that the rolled oats are not raw... like I did, I tell you, these cookies could end a marriage... or trigger a proposal. They are simply awesome. If you are a recovering sweet food junky, this is your fix. Its like Cacao, Oat, Nut butter Crack.
Sounds like some folks found some raw oats to use, Ill try those next time.

Yum, I love these. I got the raw rolled oats from Allissa Cohen's website. They could use a little soaking before making this.

I just tried this tonight. I used almond butter, carob powder, and date syrup. I used a tad less of almond butter and carob powder and probably a few more dates (like 7). This was excellent. I used regular oats that I put into the grinder to make it into a powdery form (with some pieces of oats left). This was incredibly yummy...I tried rolling some into balls with coconut shred but it can be very sticky. I will try to dehydrate next time. It definately satisfied my sweet tooth!!

ps.I tried it plain, with almond milk, and dehydrated for an hour...They were just like a cookie when dehydrated..even my meat eating hubby loved them.

I tried this recipe. I added my almond meat (from making almond milk) to them. Delicious..Kids loved too.

This is wonderful!!! We just made it and my 8yo son totally flipped for it. LOL!

You can buy oat flakers that roll the oat kernels for you (so its guarenteed to be raw). Just google "oat flaker" and heaps will pop up. The cost a bit from the outset but in the long run its worth it.
Cheers

She sells really raw carob too. Just to let you know they aren't raw. The carob has to be heated to be grounded into a powder. So if you trust her site go ahead. I have her book and she doesn't seem to know or mention many things that aren't raw. For example she uses Braggs amino a lot. She also uses Nutritional yeast which is not raw.

Ok, so they are not actually raw (I've been researching for the last twenty minutes). Grrr. The other night I made some and didn't have enough oats so I put some buckwheat in. It was good, made it crunchy though and I really prefer the chewy texture. Alissa Cohen sells "Really Raw Oats" that are oat flakes. I haven't ordered any yet, but maybe that would work.

I wonder if you could use sprouted groats and then process them into a meal before adding to the rest of the ingredients. That might taste as good too.

Are rolled oats raw? I have heard that oats are steamed in the process and the only way to eat them raw is by buying oat groats and sprouting them. I would love it if this were not true. Any thoughts? This recipe looks wonderful.
