This is great as a burrito filling. It is hearty and filling, with a rich oil flavor.
2 cup walnuts
1 cup sun dried tomatoes, soaked 4 hours
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoon nama shoyu or Braggs
¼ cup olive oil
Place all ingredients into your food processor and blend until it forms a ball, or a semi-smooth pate. Eat away! This is good wrapped up in a romaine leaf, like a burrito.

This was delicious! I ran out of walnuts so I combined whatever nuts I did have. I ended up using 1/2 cups each of pumpkin seeds, macadamia nuts, pine nuts and almonds. It came out really well. My food processor was having a hard time cutting through the thickness, so I did have to add about a cup of water to thin it. I also added extra garlic and used slightly less tomato than one full cup. Sun-Dried tomatoes can be really overpowering sometimes. Regardless, it came out great. I spread it over a collard green, added some sprouts and mixed greens, rolled it up like a burrito and had a fantastic meal.
It's absolutly wonderful! I just added a little more garlic. Even my husband who is a meat lover was eating away with a big smile!

I made this last week and used it in romaine leaf burritos and in tostados. It was absolutely fabulous and SO easy. I only had time to soak the sun dried tomatoes for about an hour and it still turned out fine - though I knew it would have benefited from a longer soak. Thanks, skyespice, for the post. I just ate this for dinner! I spread it evenly over different kinds of lettuce (from my garden!) and put parsley in the lettuce then rolled each leaf up like a spiral. I really liked it and so did my friend who I gave a few bites too.

Wondering if when you say raw you mean you do not cook it afterwards? I know raw food and know they are good but see so much here with a dehydrater which I do not own. Do you ever just "heat" it up some? That vege meat made with walnuts, I have had that before but did it in the oven to make it easy to keep (a dehydrator may work) then you soak it in water before you use it. But I cook it like meat in a pan because it taste better in tacos to me. Ideas? All your recipes look great and thank you, just wondering if you are all just really eating things without any warmth to them. :-) Sandy

I'm not 100% raw yet so I made this and topped with shredded carrots and lettuce and wrapped it in the Fat Flush tortilla shells and they made GREAT burritos! One of my top faves so far from this site!

I made this last night and it was amazing! It was exactly what I was craving. I didn't soak the sundried tomatos for 4 hours because I wanted to eat it sooner than later but it still came out wonderful. I made "tacos" with these by using romane lettue leafs, sprouts, shredded carrot and ginger. YUM! Thanks for the recipe. This is definitely going to be one of my staples from now on.
