Post-Run electrolyte smoothie
This is the perfect drink for endurance athletes. Coconut water has the right balance of electrolytes and nutrients needed for effective rehydration. In the past its actually been used as IV fluid because its content is so close to that of human plasma. Mixed with the right carbs, greens, and protein, this makes a delicious post-workout shake.
1 box Coconut Water, can buy at health food store in juice box size
1 cup spinach
1 tablespoon Greens powder
1 tablespoon coconut or flax oil
1 ounce vanilla protein powder
Blend all ingredients together in electric blender with ice. Drink within 15 minutes of work out.
