Raw Antioxidant Coffee with Gogi berries and Cacao
The cold-pressed coffee process keeps the pH at a more alkaline level, and also prevents the crash effect from regular brewed coffee. This coffee is usually quite strong so be prepared. I usually can't drink coffee because of the high-low peaks, but this one is a nice smooth ride :)
A french-press for brewing
1/2-1 cup organic, fair-trade, and low pH coffee is best
(If you are grinding your own beans, make
grounds more coarse)
small handful of gogi berries
1Tb raw cacao nibs (ground up as well)
enough hot water (just below boiling) to fill french-press a few inches from
top
Optional:
sweetener - raw organic sugar cane, agave, raw honey, stevia...
creamer - hemp or rice milk (soy is not recommended)
Fill french-press with coffee, gogi berries, cacao, and water and let sit 12-24 hours at room temperature. Put the press on the top to cover coffee but do not press down until ready to drink. You can heat coffee or leave cold when ready to drink. Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure the author is suggesting using roasted coffee beans. This kind of cold-brew method for coffee seems to be the latest trend for those not quite willing to give it up entirely.
