I discovered this recipe by mistake. I was attempting to make raw ding dongs and my blender stopped working! I figured it would taste just as yummy unblended - and the remaining texture from whole sunflower seeds resembles rice (a bit crunchier though ;) )
1 CUP sunflower seeds
3 TBL agave nectar
3 TBL carob (or mix 1.5 carob, 1.5 cacao - which I did)
Mix together in a bowl and eat! I'm sure you could press into a pan and then fridge for a bit to give them shape. I'm assuming you can also sub date/date paste for the agave, however I'm not sure how much you would need to sub. Experiment and enjoy!
