1 +I discovered this recipe by mistake. I was attempting to make raw ding dongs and my blender stopped working! I figured it would taste just as yummy unblended - and the remaining texture from whole sunflower seeds resembles rice (a bit crunchier though ;) )
Ingredients:
1 CUP sunflower seeds
3 TBL agave nectar
3 TBL carob (or mix 1.5 carob, 1.5 cacao - which I did)
Preparation:
Mix together in a bowl and eat! I'm sure you could press into a pan and then fridge for a bit to give them shape. I'm assuming you can also sub date/date paste for the agave, however I'm not sure how much you would need to sub. Experiment and enjoy!

How long do you suggest that i soak and dehydrate the wheat groats to give them that desired "rice puff" texture and look?
2. Have you tried Buckwheaties??
Have you tried Buckwheaties?? (soked and dehydrated Buckwheat Groats) they are acuallly nature's rice crispies!!! ;-) There not a grain and their gluten-free - there actually from a flower.
They make the dopest rice crispy cakes i.m.o and awesome for making chocolate rice crispies cereal too. Just mix with choc mixture and dehydrate. :)
3. this might sound ridiculous
this might sound ridiculous but I actually own a Blendtec and wasn't sure if it could handle only a cup of seeds. Usually with small amounts the ingredients stick to the sides and the blade just continues with nothing to grind. Thanks for the tip about groats - I will make those next!

That is why I recommend the Blendtec Blender it is very powerful and kinda necessary to make my raw organic recipes! But cool that you came up with a new one, you can also use soaked then dehydrated wheat groats instead of sunflower seeds to get more of a "rice" Krispy look and taste.
