Risin Sun Smoothie
A hearty energy drink with a nutty flavor finish. A great pick me up for breakfast or lunch. This recipe was adapted and tweaked from a drink (of the same name) created at Everlasting Life Juice Bar in DC. / Capital Heights Maryland. Check them out.
1 Frozen Ripe Banana
2 Ice Cubes (or equivalent of crushed ice)
2 T Black Strap
Molasses
1 t Spirilina (rounded)
3 T Raw Sesame Tahini
1 C Young Coconut water
1 T Brewers Yeast
3 Dates (seeded and
presoaked)
T = tablespoon, t= teaspoon C= Cup
I usually keep all my ingredients in the frig. I also keep my glass blender jar in the freezer to assure its frostiness especially during summer months. Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth....adding additional coconut water until a quater sized vortex is created at the center of the liquid.

Keeping the blender in the freezer is a good idea- I do that too! I also toss some wheatgrass juice powder in with my smoothies, esp my green smoothies. http://www.sweetwheat.com/store/wheatgrass-juice/sweet-wheat-lar...
Thanks for the recipe Brutha.
