I know this has been posted for quite some time, but I recently made it and YUM! Would absolutely recommend it. I might try adding a dash of cayenne and some raw honey =)

Does the marinade make the asparagus soft or is it still real crunchy?

I love asparagus and I have a great asparagus bed in my garden, sadly, the time for asparagus out of my garden is gone, but there are some great prices in the supermarket right now.
I did a variation on this, I marinated the asparagus virtually the same way no shoyu since it was already in my bread, then I served it on the onion bread I made with a little hummus spread on and some sliced tomatoes.
It was very yummy!
