15 or soThis is a modified recipe from reallyrawhoney.com. You could try to subsititute agave instead of the honey if you like, but the raw honey has a very thick consistency that helps for the balls. This is a great sweet treat that even non-raw people like.
Ingredients:
1 Cup sunflower seed butter
1/4 cup dried coconut flakes
1/8 cup unsweetened carob
powder
1/3 cup really raw honey (the sticky white stuff works best)
raw sunflower seeds
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients except the sunflower seeds together until everything is fully incorporated. Form tablespoon sized balls with the mixture and roll each ball in the sunflower seeds to coat them fully on the outside. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until the balls have firmed up some. Delish!

1. sounds yum, i will try this
sounds yum, i will try this later. i have so many nut butters in my fridge now so i guess i have to make these!
and i've been missing the honey-nut milk balls i used to make (honey, p.b., powdered milk) as well as the peanut butter cookies (peanut butter, honey, egg). as long as its sweet, i'll give it a try :)
2. I just made these this
I just made these this morning. I liked the use of sunflower seeds instead of nuts but overall it was way too sweet for me. Next time I think I'll cut down on the honey. I also rolled the balls in dried coconut instead of sunflower seeds, it seemed to stick better.
