Servings:
Serves 3I was inspired to put up my favourite porridge recipe when I saw dodo’s Scottish Porridge recipe this morning. Mine is very sweet and thick, I always find it to be a very substantial breakfast. The photo isn’t the greatest, but it is shown here topped with cinnamon and dried sour cherries.
Ingredients:
1 cup Raw Oats
½ cup Buckwheat, soaked
½ cup Hemp
seeds
¼ cup Flax Seeds
2 cup Water, or more for desired consistency
2 tablespoon Almond Butter
1
Banana
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Preparation:
Blend all ingredients until desired consistency. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone!
Rawkinrawmama, good idea with the milk! I will add almond milk to mine next time.
Navarresmom, great suggestion with the apple butter, I will have to try that.
Alabastardragon, I don't do anything with the raw oats, but you can soak them for a few hours if you prefer. I usually soak my buckwheat for 2-4 hours. However, soaking is not absolutely necessary.

What do you have to do with the raw oats before making this dish and how long must you soak the buckwheat for?

This is also really good with apple butter whipped in and using apple instead of banana. This ia fantastic dish.

I tried this for breakfast; instead of almond butter I used maple butter; and subbed in sun flower seeds for the hemp seeds. My son and I loved it. Thank you for posting this

I made this for breakfast. The hubby and I loved it! It is VERY filling. I made mine with 1/2 Brazilian Coconut Milk and 1/2 water. It was like the real thing. It tastes great with kiwi on top! Thanks for this recipe! The kids will be having this tomorrow.
