Unsteamed broccoli
Ingredients:
olive oil
sea salt
pepper
onion
powder
garlic powder
agave nectar
Broccoli
Preparation:
cut broccoli into pieces.
Toss with olive oil, and season to your liking. You can use your hands to really rub
the mixture into
the broccoli. I use about a tablespoon of agave nectar if I had to guess.
Place pieces in the dehydrator, and dehydrate for 3 hours.

Wow! I'm going to try this, I've got a 1 week old brocolli sitting there and I don't know what to do with it. Thanks.

Yes, it softens it, like it is steamed. I love it, and the kids eat it up too. If you dehydrate too long though, they get too chewy. I still like them this way too.
nanamensah, I like your idea too!!
I thought about tossing the broccoli with some braggs, agave, onion, garlic, and ginger.
Put that over some sprouted quinoa. I'm hungry.

I make this...for a variation, replace the agave with 1/2 cup fresh oj and the garlic/onion powder with fresh chopped garlic. So good!

Hi, saraw, Does this significantly soften the broccoli? I hope. I could do cauliflower with it? I love it crispy and raw with a dip, but this would be a whole new thing if it softens. I look forward to ordering my dehydrator this fall, so I have no experience yet - hat to bug ya. Thank you for further info.
