Tangy Apple Salad
You can make as much as you like.
[This may be a horrible/dumb idea—but I liked it]
A tangy apple/raisin salad with lemon/lime as a sort of ‘dressing’.
Ingredients
- 1 Apple, chopped (to your liking--I did 1/4)
- ½ Lime/Lemon, cut in half
- ¼ cup Raisins
Preparation
I got bored earlier, and wanted something sweet, yet tangy. So I cut an apple into 1/4 pieces, you can cut them however you like. I then cut a lime, and a lemon in half to squeeze the juice from, and put it over the apples and raisins.
I also ate the inside of both halves of the lime and lemon (so I didn’t waste it).
then you can chow down.
You can also use a juicer to make the ‘dressing’ if you think it would work better.
I also thought this may be good with some sort of nuts or seeds in it aswell? If anyone tries any other variations please tell how it works out!

Have you heard of Waldorf Salad? One of the recipes for it is apples, raisins, lemon juice, celery, walnuts and mayo.

No, I hadn’t until now, sounds good though, what mayo though?

It was created at the Waldorf Hotel in the 1800’s and is an immensely popular salad. It is dressed with a traditional mayo, but I’m sure there are wonderfully raw, healthy ones. Some versions call for grapes instead of raisins, but I find the raisins are my favorite in this combo. I think your version sounds yummy with just the lemon juice and no added fat other than the walnuts.
