Seves 1-2

My version of Irish cream coffee. Reminds me of a cappucino, a nice morming treat!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds, soaked
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 vanilla pod, scraped
  • 3 dates
  • 2 tsp maca
  • 1 tsp cacao
  • pinch sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp mixed spice

Preparation

Make almond milk by blending up the almonds with the water and straining. Take a tablespoon of the frothy topping and set aside. Blend the rest of the milk with all the other ingredients. Warm it up if you like. Pour into a nice glass or coffee cup. Top with the milky froth you set aside. Dust with cacao powder. Enjoy!!

I quit drinking coffee 3 years ago after drinking it for 35+ years because I got tired of the caffine…I’m so gonna try this one!!! Looks amazing! (what’s in the mixed spice???)

Hi Matt, I believe the mixed spice has ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon. You can normally buy it ready made in the shops. Otherwise, you can just use cinnamon instead.

Great idea! I’ve been looking for a drink just like this! A little more substantial than a nut mylk, but not as thick as a smoothie.

Hello, I use unroasted maca, otherwise it wouldn’t be raw.

Maca is an herb from Peru. :-)
