Awesome…glad to help! I’ve also used this with a raw mayo recipe to make a raw thousand island dressing which became part of a reuben. Yum!

It has been a while since I was experimenting with a raw rueben recipe (for some reason, I crave these in the spring), but I believe I was making the sandwich out of onion bread, raw burger, mashed avocado, thousand island dressing and sauerkraut. Next time I make one, I’ll write everything down and post the recipe!

This looks amazing! I have have grown to hate the taste of cooked ketchup, but this one looks like it will be delicious. Thanks very much, kandace.

Sounds delicious! One question though: Do you make your own sun-dried tomatoes or buy them? How do you make sure they are raw when buying them?

I’ve made Matt’s ketchup before and at first i thought “man, this doesn’t taste anything like ketchup!”, but it does grow on you. I made the Jicama Fries recipe i found on this site (with some Cayenne, Cumin, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Paprika and Salt). This ketchup does come out sweet, so if you don’t like it sweet, then don’t add the Agave, taste, and then add a little if you want. I’m going to try this again with onion instead of garlic – if you read the ketchup bottle they use onion, not garlic. I’ll let you know how it turns out :)

Feebee – yes, you can use Bragg’s as a substitute for Nama Shoyu. I usually use a Tbsp of Miso and add a little water (it’s not as salty as either the Bragg’s or the Nama and it has a better taste – in my opinion).

Fresh&Gren – if you look at the package of Sun Dried Tomatoes, it will say 100% sun dried tomatoes (not bake dried). As far as I know, if they say Sun Dried, they are. Just read the label carefully to make sure they are sun dried and not oven dried. Hope that helps!
