Chocolate Easter Baskets
Makes 4-6 small baskets
Lovely edible chocolate baskets for holding your Easter Egg!
Ingredients
- 3 zucchini
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- pinch sea salt
- 1/2 cup flax, ground
- 1 tablespoons agave syrup
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, ground
Preparation
Grate the zucchini and place into a bowl. Stir in the cacao and coat evenly. Add in the other ingredients and mix well. Equally divide mixture into 4-7 balls. Flatten each ball and dry in the dehyrator for 1-2 hours at 145F. Flip over and make an indentation in the centre of each piece and mould into a basket shape. Dry a further 2 hours at 115F or intil completely dry. Place your chocolate eggs into the baskets and serve.

Maybe you could make the zucchini into noodles and make into a reed and maybe weave that way and you got an edible basket of a different sort.

Yes i suppose you could try that Chris. I’m waiting for some egg moulds and will post a picture if I get round to making the whole thing. Hopefully have it on here just before Eastertime. By the way, when is Easter in the US, this year? Its March 23rd here in the UK. Is it the same?

Thanks Chris, sorry if anyone’s been waiting for these but my easter egg moulds have not arrived in time for Easter. I will make it again soon and just fill with chocolates for a gift idea.
