Tomato Flowers in a Wrap
I had the ingredients, and Superman! thought of making a “flower” out of it! It was so beautiful that we just had to share the recipe. =) Dr. Cousens Phase 1 (read my profile, I’m going to explain that!)
Ingredients
- romaine lettuce leaves
- fresh guacamole
- sliced tomatoes
- cucumbers, cut lengthwise into square sticks
- pinenuts
Preparation
Spread a little guacamole onto a clean romaine lettuce leaf. Arrange other ingredients as shown to make a flower. Enjoy!

Very creative way to get a kid to eat raw food.

He thought of it but he didn’t try it. He doesn’t like the texture of tomatoes or guacamole, and he is usually afraid to try new things. But we are a pretty good team coming up with ideas for each other – I made him a Spiderman pizza that we will have to post when we make it again, and it was the first pizza he was willing to eat, because it looked fun. Then he realized he loved the flavor of it, and yesterday he was wishing there was a restaurant that could sell us one already made!

OMG Angie that plate reminds me of when I was a kid. My mother had the whole set, wish I could find those somewhere so nostalgic.
Great inspiration for making art with your food keep up the good work spider man.
