withdraw slaw
one of my favorite dishes is houston’s cole slaw. in attempts to alleviate my slaw-withdraw symptoms i created this dish. the quantity listed below makes a ton of slaw, so i just keep the ingredients separate in my re-fridge and then combine as needed.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup raw mayo
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or agave
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 parsley
- 4 green onions (only green parts)
- 1 head of cabbage
Preparation
in food processor or blender, combine mayo, mustard, vinegar, honey, pepper, and salt. place aside. in food processor combine parsley and green onions, pulse for a few seconds (just enough to finely chop). i didn’t exactly measure the parsley before hand, but after it was done chopping i had about 1/2 cup of green onion/parsley mixture. in large bowl combine shredded cabbage, mayo mixture, and onion/parsley mixture. eat immediately or let sit in re-fridge for a few hours.

What is the raw mayo made of? Real mayo has eggs, so I guess yours is a special recipe?

I used this one. However, there are a few others on this site that would work also!
