Raw-Vegan Stringy Cheese! Yes!
oooh.. look at’em stretch!
Ingredients
- 1 bag creativity, ground
- 1 box passion, fermented
- 1 slice originality, dehydrated
- 4 heads love, left alone
Preparation
use manual equipment only…
it’s fun to tease a bit before surrender.
and yes – it’s 100% real – raw & vegan & organic..
OK AND NOW FOR THE RECIPE!
it’s pretty simple. there are plenty of raw-vegan yogurt recipes out there – the simplest one is one cup of cashews/macadamia with one cup of water – blend well into cream, let ferment until sour and tasty.
next, to create the stringy effect – i used corn-hair.. the one we usually throw away that come inside the cob. they are usually flavorless but edible. simple mix a little hair with the yogurt.
spread the yogurt on a flax cracker – or simply on a sliced zucchini.
for toppings you can use add sliced tomato or mushrooms or olives and oregano..
put out in sun for drying – it’s been in the 30s (celsius) around here – so it takes less than 4 hours to get the result you see.
enjoy!

If this isn’t real, than the picture is obviously of cooked cheese.
Hey guys, don’t worry, I started making raw cheddar cheese this morning! I’ll post it today or tomorrow depending in when it’s done.

ah corn hair – interesting. So you could probably do this with any raw cheeze flavors than. Do you blend the corn hair in with the cheese or just hand mix?
ofek writes: (July 08, 2008)
hand mix.. blending will destroy the effect, as we want long strings!
