Juice Recipes
It tastes like ribena to me?!
I don’t know why I’ve been craving bananas and dates these last few days (yeah they’re really good for me and the baby but they are all I want to eat!) I wouldn’t call this a smoothie, more like a thick milk. Since we’ve had a small shortage of raw almonds in the market I gave in and used cow’s milk. I’m sure it would have been tastier with nut milk though. This filled me right up and baby was even bouncier (is that a word?) after I finished. I guess she liked it too.
This is a truly refreshing drink to have on a hot summer day—goes very well w/ spicy foods because it cools the palate and is very quick to make.
Smooth, creamy, mildly sweet flavor full of everything healthy. The combination of ingredients leaves the drink striated with white and purple. I took the picture after a sip so there’s a bit on the glass. The draw back, as my little ones say, it’s just SO green.
Cut the ingredients in pieces and put it through the juicer
For those who love hemp and for those you would like a super healthy nutritious snack!
This was inspired by my dad and his wife, but in Philly this is synonymous with summer. I don’t know if Maple syrup is raw but fully blended this treat is AMAZING – and so easy to make, very cleansing and mineral packed.
Place ingredients one by one in juicer. Pour into glass, relax and Enjoy. Or great on the go refreshing energy booster. Option: Spoon out some of the vegetable and fruit fiber in the juicer extractor and stir into juice for added texture and fiber. Delicious, uplifting drink.
Please make sure to make fresh Almond milk for this recipe. Throw everything into your Vita Mix blender and whisk away. Really awesome!
This is my favorite summertime drink! I was at a fair in 2007 and couldn’t find a single vendor with something raw until my boyfriend’s daughter asked for lemonade from the cart a few yards away. I watched the woman squeeze (gasp) real lemons into a cup and add sugar and water. Since then I’ve been making my own honey-sweetened version, and recently decided to try adding peppermint sun tea to it. This is just fabulous!
I drove past Star Bucks and instantly craved a chai tea, it’s been getting colder and I had just picked up a young coconut. This drink is creamy and sweet, a bit spicy and warm just right as it gets chilly.
Fresh Lemonade…in a snap without added sweeteners.
My first green smoothie recipe to make! Very yummy and energizing. My favorite fruit smoothie was always Strawberry Banana with a bit of orange, so I added the spinach and it was a winner! This smoothie keeps well overnight in the fridge for a great ‘to go’ breakfast.
Better than the commercial version!
This is my “in progress” version of raw Root Beer. I will adding other ingredients in the future to get even a better root-y taste but this turned out pretty tasty!
NOTE: This recipe is for home use only. My bf and I sell this for our raw food home business so this is not for commerical sale use! Please respect that! ;)
I made this with what I had left in my fridge. All ingredients are approximate. It filled my entire Vitamix before blending. I added only about 1/2 cup at first and after all was blended down, I added more to desired consistency.
This recipe has been handed down through my family since Olden Tymes.
Wonderful way to start your day the GREEN way! My fastest, easiest Green Smoothie yet.
Ok I did this because 1 there are none on here and 2 we are going to be called GONE Desserts if we don’t start making some recipes for better life. This juice is great, and I can only vouch for the mylk bag technique for this, as I don’t have a juicer. I have this juice everyday that I pack in my mason jars for work. It is great for all you TEA lovers who just need that taste of tea.
My first month of raw. Scared of green veggies. Never big on green stuff. I thought now or never!!! I’m submitting this only so I can remember what I put in it because it’s really good. The colour was off because I used red grapes but the taste is fab.
make a juice with all ingredients! you can use juicer (i prefer)!
obs: for variation you can add cucumber!
Yummy sweet green power drink. Spinach and blueberries go very well together I think :)
i had some wilting lemon basil in the fridge and couldnt see wasting it so i blended up this smoothie this morning and its terrific! i guess if you had no lemon basil you could add basil and one lemon for the same refreshing effect
A quick and easy way to get a shot of greens when you don’t want the hassle of juicing.
Yea, i know its a silly name. but i thought it fit hehe :). this a very delicious and nutritious drink that u=i have every morning before i eat anything solid including smoothies.
My new favourite fruit: The pomelo! Slightly tart, and slightly sweeter than a grapefruit, it makes delicious juice.
refreshing drink that you’ll love!!!!!
This is great to have before, durring, or after any sport – or simply for a hot day. I throw it in a water bottle and take it with me to the tennis court, or on a long, long bike ride. The limons help my impulses and the agave replenishes my energy slowly without creating a sugar high/crash.
This is the simplest recipe on the planet! But oh is it ever a great good morning to your mouth! It has to be my favorite juice!!
This stuff is sweet and stains just like Kool-aid but is a million times more yummy and good for you. My birds LOVE it and so does my husband who hates beets. I’ve changed the recipe a little since I got my juicer, adding more citrus seems to cut the earthy beetness.
This juice recipe can be used when you want to fast in a manner that provides a good detox, and replenished vitamins and minerals at the same time…It taste great too!
We bought excellent ripe and juicy cantaloupes this weekend at our city market and i was inspired to juice and smoothie-ize them.
This shake was so flavorful and refreshing. A great way to use up the raw ice cream I made (Heidi Ohlunder’s recipe). It’s easy to make too.
This juice concoction gives me energy on my juice fast. The recipe is in Juiceman’s Power of Juicing by Jay Kordich.
This recipe is everywhere online or in juicing books for a great easy to try juice. But i didn’t see it on Gone Raw, so I thought I would add it with a pic. Sorry to anyone if this has already been posted.
I don’t like super-sweet things, so the granny smith’s were perfect for me, but you could substitute your favourite apple!
Great drink if you have extra jicama. Jicama is good source of calcium so drink up.
This orange juice is extremely simple to make and is full of electrolytes. Moooove over Gatorade!
very simple green smoothie.
Splendid early morning java… wont knock you out…but will rev you up… delightful.. enzymatic and smooth!!!
Place in Vitamix and step-up to high setting unitl thoroughly blended. Add/reduce liquid/sweetner/ice to your liking.
This coconut milk does not take too much time but is well worth the effort! It is the best milk I have ever had! Better than the cows milk I remember. It also tastes great plain. No need to add any honey or such to it.
A great way to extract minerals from sea water in a way that the body can absorb. We cannot absorb inorganic minerals – they must be processed through a plant first. Wheatgrass has been tested to absorb all the minerals which are present in seawater, which makes this the best plant for the job. It is said that the minerals present in the ocean are in the same ratio as ideal to the human body. Ah, I love the ocean :)
This recipe is from The New Soul Vegetarian Cookbook. My sister-in-law gave it to me. I make this drink whenever anyone has the slightest sign of a cold. The ginger BURNS! But your cold disappears. I am starting to make it daily now, with less ginger, since I noticed that an increase in my ginger intake has been clearing out my sinuses!
Aloe loaded with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and one of the most amazing super foods on the planet. Some of common reasons are Energy, Immune Function and Support, Digestion, Skin Regeneration with Collagen and Elastin…
This is a very creamy and thick coconutmilk cream. You can drink it like that or you can remove the pulp, which will make it less creamy. The milk cream thickens considerably when set in the fridge for several hours. I use this one for milkshakes, pies, cakes, flans and other desserts.
I’m on a juice feast at the moment and threw these together not knowing the taste sensation that lay ahead! Yum factor 10!
This is tangy, sweet and the texture from the berries makes it almost creamy.
I love my morning green smoothies, and this one is no exception! If I close my eyes, I swear I can feel the sand between my toes and hear the ocean in the distance. I only had shredded dried coconut on hand, but I’m sure you could make this with coconut water instead of the filtered water and omit the dried stuff. Also, if you like your smoothies to be a little thicker, I’d cut back on the water a little bit.
It’s been hot all day here in Kurdistan and I was wanting something cool.. I started thinking about a nice smoothie, so I chose my favorite fruits and this is what I came up with.. The combination of sour apples and sweet bananas and tangy o.j. are so good.. I like the seeded grapes because the seeds are kind of like a sub. for flax seeds..
I made this juice and then it occurred to me it tasted a bit like tomato soup, but there isn’t any tomato in it. Good at room temperature or warmed a bit.
Açai is a superfruit from the Amazon Rainforest. It boast filled with good stuff and great for drinking as juice or with fruit. It´s an antioxidant energy drink that the Native Brazilian Indians use for centuries.
Great before or after workouts. Enjoy!
Great Breakfast drink – Be creative and let me know if you have any ideas or add ins to make it healthier!
There’s been a lot of talk about fresh Aloe Vera recently, and how it can be difficult to mix just right to get rid of the bitter taste, so I thought I’d share the way I do it. I LOVE this smoothie and feel amazing after drinking it! In-love style amazing. (well… almost!) <3
Blueberries with camu-camu are extraordinary antioxidant boost, containing naturally occurring Vitamins C and E outnumbering in activities any other fresh fruits and vegetables. Together these are unstoppable in keeping you young activating learning performance and memory capability
It is such an endeavor to unraveled pomegranate, but once you set yourself up – it becomes meditating event, uncovering intricacy and sophistication of the Nature. Needless to say pomegranate has a reputation of one of the super anti-oxidant and benefits in building red blood cells.
A bright and sunny treat! I had it for breakfast but any time is great!
Prefectly balanced, Refreshing and delicous whole fruit juice!
so REFRESHING ON A HOT SUMMER DAY! Perfect for the beach!
After going raw, I found that I really missed ginger ale. Most commercial ginger ales are made by boiling ginger to make an extract and adding it to soda water. The “original way” was through fermentation which is okay by me since no heat is applied. It is up to you if you think this is truly raw. It is my understanding that enzymes remain intact but that some bacteria will be killed off through the process. Give me your feedback!
This recipe can be enjoyed as a juice or soup!
Great Vitamin A and Immune Boost…
A nice refreshing pick me up with a ginger citrus like zing. Very healthy, provides lots of antioxidants and omegas!
If Organic isn’t available or affordable, here is the next best thing!!!
The pear makes this drink shockingly sweet. This is a tasty way to get some greens.
A refreshing, slightly tart (depending on how many kiwi) juice. The kids loved it!
Smooth and creamy. What a great combo these two are together. Very sweet!!!
Looks and tastes like… Tang! No kidding. Don’t get it on your clothes.
For extra zing, add the ginger.
For more of a creamy smoothie, add the banana.
whether you call this a thin pudding, or a thick smoothie, it’s PRETTY PRRETTY PRRRETTY GOOD!! :9
We have a huge juicer at work so I make this every morning. The citrus helps wake me up and give me an energy boost while the spinach and carrots up the vitamin content. This juice rocks! I sometimes use beet instead of carrot and that is really good as well.
This is a juice that I made up while on my Juice fast. It has a really good lemonade flavor. My meat eating dad loved it…not to say that meat eaters do not drink juice though. The trick to this juice is to juice it in a citrus juicer. I find that using a standard juicer for juicing grapefruits make them very bitter because of the skins. But, in a citrus juicer, the grapefruits sweeten the juice and add amazing flavor. The amount of lemons and limes you use depend on how big they are. I just bought a lot of limes on clearance sale for 55 cents a bag! Thats 2 pounds each on clearance sale and they were small ones so I needed to use them up. Otherwise, you could use 2 lemons and 2 limes. Taste it, and see if it needs more or less.
Refreshing, cleansing watermelon juice.
Got a HUGE bag of cranberries on sale and had no idea what to do with them so this morning, decided I would like cranberry juice, it’s sweeter than I thought and really hit the spot for me.
Good old home-made almond milk. Keep a quart in the fridge for every day connivence.
This is a lightly sweet creamy smoothie that kind of reminds me of blueberry but not quite. I think it would also be good with blue berries added to make a really awesome blueberry smoothie or ice cream. I also think it would be good with a little anise added, but I haven’t tried these yet.
This is an extremely refreshing blackberry juice I discovered while experimenting. It’s so tasty you’ll love it!
i love this juice it is a great pick me up and is really good for your digestion
Sweet, salty and juicy
my mother forces me to make this frequently. i go through phases sometimes where I NEED citrus fruit…like, i would sell my brother to slavery to get it…and this really hits the spot. maybe that’s why my brother loves this drink also.
Mangoes… bananas…. and coconut milk… yum yum yum
This fruit juice/smoothie is a great energizer to get your day going. Beets cleanse the body and blood and is high in vitamin A. Ginger is great for digestion and high in Phytochemicals, and it also aids inflammation, improves circulation. Cilantro is great for anxiety (yes it is), it’s high in vitamin A and potassium, so if you need extra vitamin A and energy this is the drink for you!
my nonraw, brutally honest, husband was sneering at my savory green shakes in the morning. one whiff of the garlic and he begged off. Not wanting him to become a fruit shake-aholic I whipped this up for him….the drama to get it to his lips was amusing but he drank it and asked for more! ;)
This is a light, delicious drink to enjoy on a beautiful summer day! I wish I had a picture to share, it is pretty too, especially with a little pineapple and basil as garnish!
For those who want a quick drink without juicing, here’s a nice one using a blender. This smoothie is runny enough to be called juice without having to extract it by straining. It is very simple, yet so delicious and REFRESHING!
Delightfully refreshing juice – one of my favorites.
When we got a vitamix finally, how did I ever live without one, I started adding kale to smoothies, then thought about a good green juice, this is a great green juice but still has the fiber and it keeps you full. I don’t feel it wastes so much of the veggies like juicing but a vitamix still breaks the cell wall so you can get all the vitamins/minerals.
A perfect alternative to the “Green Smoothie.” Get your daily greens without ruining a yummy fruit smoothie, or inefficiently juicing greens…
I make this most mornings and it is a great way to wake up! Parsley and celery are too strong for me in the A M so I came up with some milder substitutes. Had some beautiful black grapes and added fennel and cilantro to make it smooth. I’m loving my greens!
Cleanses and refreshes. Really helps to control appetite when the will is weak. Makes you feel very fresh and pure, starts the day off right.
I felt like something different and knew I needed to do something with my over ripe pears. Here’s what I came up with. I love the Indian taste from the Cardamon. Enjoy!
You can do it with or without the greens
This is a creamy, not shake like thick, cold milk! Creamy, sweet, very light ivory (almost while) color. Piel de Sapo melon comes from Spain and it is incredibly sweet. See picture for the melon and shake.
Absolutely refreshing delicious way to start the day.
Rudolf Breuss’s, anticancer mixture has helped thousands of suffering people. This juice blend, during fasting, exerts a death blow on cancer. This was attested by over 24,000 patients who wrote him describing relief from their diseases. His patients were given small amounts of this juice over 42 days. A tea composed of nettle, St. John’s wart, marigold, artemisi and monarda was also given. By “starving out” the cancer, Rudolf Breuss reported a 96% success rate for the thousands of patients he treated over 30 years of practice. (Rudolf Breuss died in 1989 at 93 years of age.)
Watermelon rind has chlorophyll, vitamin A, protein, potassium, zinc, iodine, nucleic acids and enzymes which aid digestion. Ninety-five percent of the nutritional content in watermelon is in the rind. The seeds may be a little noisy but are harmless to the juicer.
You may be curious about the name. When you put a sloppy wet piece of watermelon in the juicer it comes out like Niagara Falls. Because watermelon is a great diuretic, your kidneys and bladder will experience a honeymoon of youthful health.
If you are short on money, watermelon juice is the ticket. You can add just about anything to watermelon juice, so again, we encourage you to have some fun.
The most surprisingly delicious juice-combination I have come across in my raw food adventures. Great for first thing in the morning, or for juice-fasting.
I heard about this from our local CSA—it is a lovely, simple idea that I’m excited to try. I also found it on a great recipe site (www.recipezaar.com) that I used to love before going raw. I’ve included it because they added the lemon and because they do have some raw recipes and instructions for making staples (ie spice mixtures). My new favorite site is now of course, Gone Raw, so I’m happy to contribute this here!
Tropical because of the fruit. Suburban Summer, because the blended greens give the refreshing smell of freshly cut grass in the summer in the ‘burbs. (I don’t ever get that aroma in the city!)
I have been experimenting with green smoothies, and trying to move past just using spinach. At Trader Joe’s I found in a bag, already washed and cut, ready to use “Southern Greens” that includes collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, and spinach. I also got a variety of organic frozen fruit… makes smoothies quick and easy!!
Watermelon is delightful when it is freshly cut open, and blended in the blender. However, if you have a melon that is overly ripe, or not as sweet, you may need to play doctor. Here is what I added to turn a not so sweet one, into a candy drink.
Sweet and tangy juice packed full of vitamins and amino acids!
My very favorite detox. Best consumed in the morning. Don’t eat anything for at least two hours before or afterwards—beet is a powerful detoxifier. The apples make this sweet and delicious, the celery freshens it up, and the ginger gives it a little kick AND soothes the stomach.
Sometimes the simplest things in life are the most enjoyable!
The name says it all.
I found this drink at http://www.freedomyou.com/fasting_book/juice%20recipes.htm. It is suppose to be a power-pushing juice recipe for joggers. Clean blood, clean muscles, and enzyme-rich, nutrient-packed, fuel make for intense aerobic activity.
refreshing almond/orange drink
Sometimes I need a little UMMPH! I make this smoothie and it gets me going. I LOVE MATE!
This has been my new favorite breakfast smoothie for the past week!!!! MMmmmmm
A nice fresh drink that fills you up.
This is very light and refreshing, perfect for hot days. It doesn’t give you that “headachey” feeling when you eat pasteurized lemonade with loads of sugar. One time in Starbucks, some guy poured sugar in his latte continuously for three minutes. I’m not kidding. So sad.
This creamy juice will take you to a Caribbean paradise anyday!
I had a hankering for coffee after smelling it for weeks in the office at work. I never liked the taste of coffee but liked all of the other flavors during my designer coffee drinking days. So here is my contribution for the Latté Lovers.
I hope you enjoy it.
Another beautiful tropical delight!!
This is a wonderful, refreshing, and powerful morning drink. I only got five hours of sleep last night and when I woke up this morning and made this, I had a burst of energy that has lasted throughout the day!
Refreshing and delightlfully light while also completely filling. Easily combines cilantro for toxin mobilization and chlorella for toxin removal. An inspired version from one of Sarma Melngalis’s cilantro smoothiea
Light, refreshing, and supercharged!
This is the best green smoothie I have ever had!!!! I just wanted to share it with you all so you could enjoy it too. It actually comes out a lovely purple-ish color. If it isn’t sweet enough you can add honey or something. I’m sure many of you drink something like this often, but I just wanted to share my variation, (also since some people were asking for lighter recipes) well here’s mine, anyway. I hope you like!!!!!
A more mellow, comforting autumnal drink. I’ve now tried it now with a pumpkin, but also with an acorn-shaped squash that ressembles a pumpkin in color, and with a flat pumpkin called “sweet” by the farmers. All turn out deliciously. I was going to work on my pumpkin pie recipe this morning, but this little pumpkin somehow ended up going through my juicer, and I’m glad it did. Without the almonds it is smoother, more elemental. With the almonds it is rounder, warmer.
a tart drink, with all the fiber from the greens leftover. i find that green smoothies are a little too sweet for me and i don’t get much green “mileage” out of them. the play between the tart citrus and the sweet apple in this covers up the bitterness of the greens nicely. and a bonus is that it turns into a kind of frappe when you make it with spinach. ENJOY!
juice the ginger first since sometimes the juice gets stuck, i feel like the heartier fruits and veggies help pull out juice that gets stuck in the blade! this is very refreshing, i crave it all the time! this is a recipe from one of my fav. juice bars here in the city…westerly – thanks guys!
VERRRY delicious, refreshing drink. I would recomend this drink to anyone. its incredible!
I talk to my kombucha mushies and they tell me what they need. this is no joke. recently i have been rinsing my mushrooms in purified water and letting them sit outside in the sun. They are alive and i get this amazing sense when i am preparing them, like they want the best life possible and together we can create a simbiotic relationship. Relationships with our food?! outrageous!
I was craving broccoli last night but I didn’t feel like chewing anything, so I put together this powerful and very filling green smoothie. Kept me full for hours! The broccoli gives this a really cool flavor – don’t know how to describe it other than just try it!
What to do with all those lefover fresh cranberries from the holidays? well, as odious as it seems to drink a frozen drink in cold weather, this one is hitting the spot for me this morning! As a variation throw a whole orange in with the greens and cranberries and leave out the rasberries…it would be like my fav cranberry relish then!
A great spicy juice! The raspberries compliment nice with the green ingredients and make for a different colour.
This is an amazing & simple breakfast dessert that tastes just like a vanilla milkshake, quick to whip together first thing in the morning. Very filling & packed with energy! Try palcing your blender in the freezer before hand
This shake is very refreshing during a hot summer day! It hits the spot after a morning of sunning out! Adding the superfoods makes it almost a complete meal! ENJOY!!
This is a modified Martha Stewart Recipe…I removed the brown sugar and alcohol. Delicious!
So simple, so yummy!
I know everyone knows how to make lemonade…but had to add a recipe to the site so that i didn’t feel left out. hope you enjoy it.
I’ve been trying to figure out a simple way to get Vitamineral Greens into my diet, without all the sugar that seems to come along with smoothies—this is a suprisingly pleasant tasting mixture that is easy for me to drink every day!
This blender wheat grass juice is quick and easy. A spritz of lemon makes it delicious.
The green flavor is completely covered up by the lemon and lime. One of my 4th grade students tried it and said it tasted like a salad at 1st, but in the end like a sprite. A great breakfast to start your day off with loads of vitamins and energy.
*add a small piece of ginger root for a spicy finish
Recently I’ve been making juices basing on either cucumbers or zucchinis (squash). I find them to be mellow in flavour and blend well with other fruits and veggies. I don’t peel the green rind off though, and it gives the juice a lovely green colouring.
I know.. That is what Juliano calls it. It’s from his book “RAW The UN-cook Book” It’s a great way add moisture with out watering anything down. I like this in a glass, all by it self.
I made this juice up today, when I wanted to have something green, refreshing, and use up my kale. Measurements are not exact, so add or take away what you desire to make this green envy your own. I added the juice to a tall glass of purified ice cubes…and saved the pulp to make crackers later in the dehydrator.
Acerola (Malpighia glabra) also known as Barbados cherry or wild crapemyrtle is a small, red, somewhat sour-tasting fruit that is supercharged with Vitamin C (from 1000 to 2000 mg per 100 gm in the edible portion of fully ripe fruit). That means a single fruit could supply the daily adult requirement of vitamin C!
I have been juice fasting since July 4 and am trying to include some green powder and spirulina daily. I suppose any green powder and spirulina would be fine, but I like the flavor of Pure Synergy and love, love, love the flavor of Health Force Spirulina (I have been known to eat it plain and that’s saying something for me!) You can use additional spirulina as desired.
I love the taste of this drink and actually crave it. When I start eating again I plan on using the same ingredients and making smoothies.
You got to drink this to believe this. Do not forget to add elaichi pods for flavor
A lovely pink revitalizing refreshment, perfect for a Sunday morning.
This is the mother of all drinks, loaded with enzymes and you can make 1/2 gallon with $.25 worth of ingredients. If you get hungry an hour after you drink a smoothie, just start sipping some rejuvelac. It will fill you up and give you a buzz. Bonus—The rejuvelac can be used to make seed cheese and other cheeses and yogurts.
refreshing juice full of chlorophyll and special mix taste of lime and ginger give us a complete boost of energy!
Start out with the fruits in blender with about 1/4 cup of water to get a nice base going. Then slowly add ingredients in whatever the heck order you want until a nice non-chunky green…unless you like it chunky, in which case: LEAVE IT CHUNKY! May finish with chunks of apple to eat like soup. Mmmm juicy.
This is a nice mix of flavors. It reminds me of watermelon a little bit. I tried to get the measurements pretty accurate but they are really just estimations.
I decided to experiment ever so slightly on the typical apple pear juice by adding Kiwi and I love it! The juice has a slight strawberry ting to it. I added the optional ingredients for additional nutrients but its completely optional.
I can drink this daily and not get tired of it. It’s completely refreshing and spicy (if you add enough ginger).
Easy to make exotic vegetable juice,Nice to take with salads.I was bored with the carrot or tomato juice. Also found difficult to eat passion fruit due to sour taste. When i tried combining them got a yummy juice.
i’m new to juicing, and have just been modifying a lot of basic recipes i see a lot of. i’m only adding them to gone raw to help others who may be new to juice recipes as well. :)
Power drink full of vitamins and essential fats and minerals
Really gets you energized in the morning. Only use bee products that are local to your area, otherwise stick to other sweeteners like dates. A pear might also go really nice in place of the bee products. My local coops discount fruit bins have been overflowing with perfectly ripe mangos and pineapples.
Green Sherberty goodness
This combo makes wheatgrass juice so much more palatable and pineapple juice is great for digestion and inflammed joints. A great drink first thing in the morning. It delivers all the bio active nutrients to cleanse the system and to rebuild and energize. Adding banana you can trick children to ingest the most powerful super green on the planet. They will never know the difference. For fun freeze into popsicle sticks or make frozen sorbet for them. For another twist coconut milk creates a mock dairy ice cream feel to it. Transform into exotic PINA CALADA sans the alcohol. This is a very versatile concotion and you can use your imagination and come up with your own mixes.
well this wont set anyones world on fire but one of the things i love about having a great bender like the vita mix is the smoothies i can make out of virtually nothing! its 97 here today, and this tasted sooooo goooood!
Who knew you can make something that so resembles the classic? And without the use of nut milk too! And yet, the first time I tasted this with cinnamon, I thought, “Hmmm… tastes like Christmas.” And my grandmother said, “Hmmm… if a person didn’t know better, they would think this is watered down cow milk.” To which I replied, “Like skim milk?!”
This is a very creamy, thick, smooth milk cream. Very sweet too. It is perfect for milky shakes, to be added to cream soups, as a sauce on fruit plates, for making flans, cheesecake, pies, etc. In a recipe called Dulce de Tres leches, I use it in place of condenced milk.
Sweet and creamy almondmilk cream. It can be used in cereals, desserts, pies, flans, shakes. It is sweet but not so sweet as the cashewmilk cream recipe I posted on this website. Of the my three milk cream recipes (coconut, cashew and almond) this one is less thick of, but it is still more a cream than a very runny milk.
Beautiful juice with beets, carrots, ginger root, oranges and apples. I was craving beets, for some reason, like crazy when I got up this morning and this juice hit the spot.
carrot juice is nice and sweet, so when hubby complained that his green smoothie was to warm to drink after taking it to work in his thermos and to runny to drink when he added ice cubes, i made carrot-cicles. I have these cool ice trays made of rubber like stuff from ikea( heart shaped- awwww!) and i froze straight carrot juice. no excuses now baby!!!!;)
At a coffe bar they sell this, so I was inspired to create a raw version!
Cranberry juice is a powerful healing tonic, filled with quinine which changes to hippuric acid in the liver. Hippuric acid is able to assist in the removal of purines, uric acid, urea and toxic build-up in the prostate gland, testicles, kidneys and bladder. An excellent preventative juice for North American men who are battling the increased risk of prostate cancer. It is a wonderful defense against yeast infections for women.
a super yummy ayurvedic drink to help your liver, support immune system and is great for keeping a singer’s throat soothed. i first tried this drink at Indus restaurant in Bali, and it blew my mind!!! as soon as we came home i recreated it in my kitchen…
Tastes remarkable like the original.
A very warming jumpstart-type drink, this is my raw-foodist’s answer to all those coffee-shops’ super-spiced autumnal coffee concotions, the kind I used to imbibe while studying for my fall midterms in New England… But it’s also a more healthful (to me in any case) alternative to super-fatty cacao drinks based on coconut or nut/seed milks, which sit in my belly making me feel heavy while my mind gets all cacao-buzzed. In this drink the stimulant is still there, but it’s supported by real cellular nutrition thanks to the carrot juice. Use in moderation! Cacao is addictive! The cranberries seem to lighten up the flavor, but aren’t necessary—it’s all about the carrots and spices and cacao. The coconut oil is for sweetness and smoothness but also to aid in the absorption of the carrots’ Vitamin A, which is fat-soluble.
Yummmyyyyy and very light on the stomach.
absolutley love waking up and making this drink. It gets me going and ready for a busy day. who wouldn’t want to start the day off with a nice glass of greens? Mmm
I decided to experiment making a green drink with the wonderful Watercress and thought it came out delightful.
Light,frothy and sweet.
Absolutly Delicous and Healthy! I dont think any Breakfest can top it… Try it and find out yourself!
With today being my 47th day of a juice fast, I decided to share a new juice that I came up with in the last few days. Although most of my juices have been vegetable, this added a little variety to my routine. I mixed the lettuce with the fruits to be sure that I was still getting chlorophyll. The juice reminds me of something, I just can’t figure out what it is. If you can figure it out, I’d love to know. I think this would make a great punch.
A sweet and light springtime breath-freshening pale green ambrosia.
