Meat Recipes
This is great if you miss stir fry. You add the “rice.” Or you could wrap it in the tortillas from this site for fajitas or tacos-or even put it over “noodles”.
This is a variation on Kandace´s gorgeous walnut taco meat. It is perfect for anyone who is feeling nuts and seeds are a little too heavy on their own whether due to taste or like me if you´re trying to slim down ;) Obviously feel free to play with the spice measurements. I LOVE cumin and garlic, so I use tons. I usually use a dash of nama shoyu but I was out today so I used a pinch of salt.
This will make a grilled meat type flavor and texture. Very hearty and even chewy. I worked on this for a year. Now it’s just right. Goes well with my “Sweet Tangy Southern Barbeque Sauce”
These really do taste like crab cakes! Try them and see! They would probably make a great dinner served with a salad containing sea vegetables.
This is a hearty meat-like recipe that only takes a few minutes to grind and mix. I often take this taco “meat” with me when the family is having a taco night. Pictured here with lettuce leaf, Pico de Gallo, Groovy Guacamole and Macadamia Sour Creme. If I’m planning ahead, I also like to make raw tortillas.
Based on a recipe by Matt Amsden. I’ve cut down on the Nama Shoyu, as this taste was a bit overwhelming for me, and added some cayenne for an extra spicy kick. This recipe is best with soaked walnuts!
This is a wonderfully flavored, savory meal created and shared by Rhio (January 2007’s recipe of the month). The recipe also includes a quick and easy cheeze sauce that can be used on other recipes as well.
Serve this as a burger or smothered with a tasty mushroom gravy. Pictured with spiced jicama fries and onion bread.
Thanks to Tommie for sharing!
this idea came from a blend of rhio’s mushroom steak recipe and my own recipe for marinade for actual steak which i am forced to make anytime anyone in my house comes home with a london broil for the barbecue. i just threw things together for the cheese (i quit using cashews!), and it turned out tasting like havarti to me! i’ve included my method of making ‘raw a-1’ sauce too, which i thought of at the last minute…
I got this from Tanya’s Site so all props to her. I am posting this in response to SICK of NUTS and for all of us who refuse to spend half your budget on NUTS only to gain nothing but bloated bellies and weight. My daughter and I ate these before my wife could get home. It is really tasty and worth a try.
You can check many other recipes out over at Freshtopia.net with video so its pretty cool for visual people. AHEM thinking this would be great for GONE RAW.. listen up Ray and Kandace . LOL
