light
refreshing rawsagna
this is a refreshing mediterranean take on the old nut pates. japanese tomatoes are simply the juiciest on earth! although i havent tried heirloom yet. i love taking pictures of produce!
Maca Orange Tahini Miso Salad Dressing
Add Celery, Apple and Walnuts, Raisins or Dried Apricots and LOTS of Greens! So refreshing! Most of the stuff we raw foodists have around all the time. No Appliances Necessary!
cawliflower couscous (tabbouleh)
i made this for the raw falafel recipe posted on this site. it went really well together. cawliflower makes a nice starch substitute i think. also, it gets better as it sits, so make more and eat leftovers if you like to have things on hand.
enjoy =)
Mexican Light Delight
In my never-ending search for nut-free, seed-free, low/non-fat recipes, this recipe was inspired by juleskess’s Fat Free Guacamole! To me, this light and low/non-fat (if you use chia it is low-fat; if you don’t use chia it is non-fat) dish is a cross between refried beans, guacamole, and salsa. It even kinda reminds me of lentil stew. Sounds weird, I know, but it’s true.
Many of the ingredients are optional in this very versatile recipe. The beauty is in the texture and the ability to adapt it to your favorite tastes.
I ball parked the measurements. Use more or less to satisfy your desired texture and flavors. Hope you enjoy!
Hot and Sweet Basil Soup
After juice fasting for 50 days, I decided to start back eating. . . very slowly and carefully. It seemed that blending my food for a while would be easier on my system then actually eating it. So, I created this blended soup and was very pleased with the taste and texture. Use as much or little cayenne, herbs, and stevia as you like. Hey, use as much or little of any other ingredients you like. I’ll never know the difference!
