I had some left over cashew frosting from some carrot cake I had made, and figured out that if I added mangoes to it, it made the most fabulous ice cream. The blueberry sauce is from Raw Food Real World. For the photograph, I forgot that blueberries contain pectin, so unlike me, don't forget to stir/shake the sauce well before serving or it stays as a gel!
Here's a recipe for chocolate fudge sauce that's super super easy. It's a recipe based on a simple ratio (yay! math is fun!):
An easy and delicious pie crust that doubles as a great way to use of leftover nut pulp from making milk.
Don't be scared if this crust seems really tough when you try and cut into it. It's actually quite nice and even chewy when eaten. Just use a sharp knife to cut it. I attempted a butter knife, because every single other piece of cutlery was dirty (sadly, no joke); we ended up just picking them up and biting into them.
variations include mixing in a bunch of dried mulberries or goji berries, adding a pinch of cayenne, or substituting just walnuts instead of the pumpkin seeds.
I AM NEW TO RAW FOOD AFTER BEING A VEGETARIAN FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR, I DECIDED TO MAKE THE SWITCH NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT'S HEALTHIER BUT BECAUSE THE FOOD IS SOOO ATTRACTIVE AND DELICIOUS. THIS IS A RECIPE THAT I CAME UP WITH (I HOPE LOL) IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO EVEN CALL IT OR YOU CAN CALL IT AN EXPERIMENT OR A CONCOCTION NEVERTHELESS I THINK IT IS REALLY GREAT AND CAN BE MODIFIED TO ONES OWN PERSONAL TASTE. YOU CAN CLASSIFY THIS AS A DESSERT OR A SALAD I BELIEVE, PERSONALLY I WOULD EAT IT AS A DESSERT ANY DAY. SO HERE IT IS PLEASE TRY IT AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK AND PLEASE PLAY AROUND WITH IT AND OFFER UP ANY MODIFICATIONS YOU MAY MAKE TO IT SO WE CAN ALL STAY RAW AND ENJOY THE FINEST THINGS NATURE HAS TO OFFER. THANKS
