simple and sweet treat for halloween
I am planning a totally raw Thanksgiving and have been experimenting with recipes. I am definitely using this one. Unfortunately the day I made it my camera batteries were dead. So this is a picture of a SAD version, but the raw version looks very similar.
Yup, I am a recipe posting machine! This is a staple for us. It’s the first nut butter I made and it’s been our favorite nut butter thus far (since june). Turmeric, curry and cayenne are all good for you too!
I saw a cooked version of this recipe in the back of a copy of Martha Stewart Living and thought – I could make these RAW… so here they are, my raw version of Cowboy Cookies – they’re a good thing. This pic is the cooked orginal from MSL – I will post my pic when next I make some and they stay around long enough for me to find my camera!
Amazing! That’s a brief description of my boyfriend’s cookies. These are in the top 3 cookies I have had in my ENTIRE life (SAD included) and have all kinds of fabulous, nutritious ingredients too! (no lard, flour, or crisco in these bad-boys!) The goji berries have a texture like little bits of toffee! They are chewy and crunchy at the same time. Just try them…you WILL be rocked.
