Raw Antioxidant Coffee with Gogi berries and Cacao

The cold-pressed coffee process keeps the pH at a more alkaline level, and also prevents the crash effect from regular brewed coffee. This coffee is usually quite strong so be prepared. I usually can't drink coffee because of the high-low peaks, but this one is a nice smooth ride :)

Yerba Mate Frappuccino

Servings:
Serves 1

This drink is an adaptation from the Yerba Mate Latte that I tried from We Like it Raw this morning. It was really tasty, but I recommend only having 1 in a day. I had 2 within 3 hours, and it knocked me off my feet into a nice nappy in which I slept for 2 1/2 hours. Not typical for a Sunday afternoon, but quite nice. Maybe I just needed the sleep…its been crazy lately.

I actually got the idea for this drink from a recipe I found through the Sunny Raw Kitchen site. The recipe was called “Best Coffee Ever”. It was very good, but a little too thick, and strong. So, I made some changes after many trial and errors with the recipe. I finally came up with this rendition, which I truly found delicious! I hope you do too.

One note: I recommend you use “heaping” scoops of the raw cacao powder, and heaping tablespoons of the raw carob. It’s okay to use a little more of both then not.
