Remember Crispy Chocolate Bars? Or Mr. Krispers? Something like that. Well this recipe I came up with reminds me of that. Simple, quick, and gives you Omega-3s, MCTs, and antioxidants. My version is low-sugar as well, but I'm sure you could use agave, date syrup, or some other raw sweetener if you prefer.
Raw Chocolate without the sugar? Yes Please! And it's tooooo easy!
I actually got the idea for this drink from a recipe I found through the Sunny Raw Kitchen site. The recipe was called “Best Coffee Ever”. It was very good, but a little too thick, and strong. So, I made some changes after many trial and errors with the recipe. I finally came up with this rendition, which I truly found delicious! I hope you do too.
One note: I recommend you use “heaping” scoops of the raw cacao powder, and heaping tablespoons of the raw carob. It’s okay to use a little more of both then not.
This recipe is from my recently published eBook, “Raw-Riffic Food’s 101 Super-Charged Juices, Shakes & Smoothies”. I love this recipe because, although it’s a “green smoothie” it comes across as a refreshing and creamy cherry smoothie – very yummy and delish! I hope you enjoy it!
