This is a delicious raw vegan alternative to cooked candy apples for the Halloween/autumn season!
You can see the original post of this recipe on my blog, "barefoot and frolicking: a space for musing on living and raw foods":

This was the first raw cake I presented to my parents when they visited me in August. I was so glad: They were really enthusiastic about it.
Quick and easy breakfast that tastes wonderful! Any juice or nut will work fine here.
i was looking for an alternative to constantly using agave, as i am trying to wean myself away from the processed (even raw agave has some sort of processing), and accidentally stumbled across the wonderful, slightly sweet and slightly syrupy texture of halawi date soak water. so far, this has been a great substitute, when used along with dates, or with a banana or other solid fruit sweetener. it simply helps to carry the flavor into a flowing, liquid form, without the overbearing tendency of agave nectar. i hope you to can rethink what we consider sweet and delicious, and train your brain and taste buds to appreciate subtlety. enjoy!
This is a great, no-fat-added dressing that really spices up your greens! It's a green color, too. :)
I think it's better with prepared mustard, but if you can find a raw one, that's great!!
