Spicy Pizza Crust
This is my favorite crust that can be used for so much. I usually use it for pizza, but if taken out while still flexible, it can be used as a spicy wrap or tortilla. If you aren’t a big fan of hot foods, cut back to 1/2 jalepeno pepper and 1/4 tablespoon of cayenne pepper.
You can also thinely slice tomatoes and/or mushrooms and press them into the dough so it dehydrates at the same time. A bell pepper might be nice if you’re aiming for a more fijita-type crust.
I’ll have a picture as soon as I can grab my sister’s camera. ;)
Pizza Rolls
So I met this awesome guy named James who is head of Rawdaddyfoods.com here in the Bay Area. He makes these wonderful flaxseed cones that you can put just about anything in. (If you’re interested in ordering some just email him at james@rawdaddyfoods.com. He also makes sweet raw ice cream cones too!) I was feeling like pizza and love poemomm’s Sausage and Pepper pizza recipe ( http://goneraw.com/recipes/2139-Sausage-and-Pepper-Pizza )so I just decided to stuff it inside the rolls!
Pepperoni Pizza
I had the most insane craving the other night – for a slice of pepperoni pizza. Weird, right? Especially considering I haven’t eaten a pork product in years… literally.
But what’s a girl to do? I had to have a slice, so I made one. If you get the craving, too, enjoy.
A hint: you can use either my Pizza Cheese recipe or my Real Cream Cheese recipe for the cheese. I personally found that the cultures in the Real Cream Cheese make this pizza taste guilt-inducing authentic… but I’ll let you decide which one you prefer.
Portobello Everything Pizza
Ok…I know the ingredient list looks a little long, but this is something really quick, especially if you make the cheese and tomato sauce ahead of time and just assemble the pizza when you are ready to eat…try it…it’s YUMMY! I usually make enough cheese and sauce for a few pizzas and save the extra for later.
Olive Tapanade
Buy Carol Alt’s”the Raw 50”...terrific recipes including this one. I love this topping on my pizza. Thank you, Carol!
