I’m an alternative healer living in New England with my hubby, dog & cat children. I have a daughter who is 19, who is a vegan by choice. I’m 100% raw vegan, though I occaisionally have lapses when I travel (it can be difficult to find good food on the road!). It was not an easy transition for me, as I was coming from Atkins land! I was a dedicated carnivore, then just found I need to make the change to heal my life. I’m working toward opening a raw take-out deli in my tiny little mountain town. The hills here are full of organic farms and hippies, so I’m sure it will fly!Raw food has been an interesting journey for me. I’ve been on and off for a couple of years, mostly due to my food addictions, which I’m still coping with. I find that spending a day making food for the week makes a real difference, as I can grab it and go. My favorites at this point are tacos and gyros, which I’ve been developing in my dehydrator/mad scientist lab :)
