Dear Inaia: Our friend recently bought us one of the Tribest Sprouting Barrels, and already we love it. The results are so much easier, and more uniform than the jar method. We put it on the dining counter near our kitchen and all our non-raw friends congregate around it, which cracks me up. Plus I find the intermittent sound of water running very relaxing. So yes…..get one. You will love it.

    Interesting article!

Some of the substances commonly referred to as anti-nutrients are actually powerful cancer-protecting phyto-chemicals. These include protease inhibitors and tannins.

So, we don’t need to germinate? Well, maybe, germinating is not needed for those that need healing of diabetes like the article says. But, since a dormant nut/seed with these inhibitors are “difficult” to digest… maybe only a balance of germinated/un-germinated nuts & seeds are good, or maybe cooking the nuts for ease of digestion is good too (and you still still get the inhibitors). Just a thought.
