yes. cool site rawnutrition.ca!
I find that when I slip up and eat (even just a little) dairy, it manifests itself in blemishes (zits) on my face. I now believe that I am allergic to all dairy, so I avoid it. I’d rather consume nut cheeze flavored with (not raw) nutritional yeast and lemon than eat mucous causing, zit forming animal products. (I LOVE good cheese and it is sometimes a struggle to stay away from it.)
i find adding apple cider vinegar to nut based “cheeses” gives it that fermented “cheesy” taste… but it’s been a while since i had cheese, so i may be forgetting ;)
another thing that makes nut cheese “cheesy” is rejuvalac.. I find it has the most “cheesy” like flavor
There are recipes and discussions on this site for different cheese (e.g. Real Cream Cheese) that use probiotics to create the cheesiness. Search on the keyword probiotic in the Recipe forum for a list of recipes.
