Hi, I’ve done it twice and really love it. The first time I did it was 6 months ago. Before that I was a normal eater, some meat, dairy, the works. After 10 days on it, I felt so good, I went raw and have been raw ever since. There is no way I could have gone raw without it. It is hard for the first 2-3 days, but after that your body just starts to feel wonderful. It broke me of my sugar, coffee, ice cream addictions so that when I decided to go raw, I had none of that baggage to deal with.
Hiya :) I’ve done the master cleanse a bunch of times… sometimes for ten days, sometimes for less. I made a habit of doing it for three days whenever I start to feel a cold coming on. I agree with juleskess… its’ hard for the first 2 or 3 days, then you’re not hungry anymore, and you start feeling light and energetic. And after the 10 days are over, you crave the simplest raw foods!
I did it for 7 days a few years ago… I was great and surprisingly easy. Great for jump-starting a raw diet (as juleskess says) and weightloss. For me, at this point, I would prefer a green juice/lemon/pepper cleanse since the taste of MC starts to get to you and I’m not sold on maple syrup since it’s not raw.
I’ve tried the master cleanse a couple times for short periods of times. One was as the end of a cleansing program with a nutritionist (this is also when I started eating raw). I enjoyed the drink and found myself craving it later. Since then, I’ve also gone on a few day juice cleanse (lots of greens) and much preferred the juicing. With juicing, I found myself with more energy and less bored, as drinking the same drink over and over does get monotonous after a while.
