*groan* i wish nuts didn't have to be soaked. i never get around to it - can't plan that far in advance. perhaps i should soak, dry, then freeze them?
cashews in breakfast cereal sounds yummy!
I agree with Winona, I cant be bothered with the soaking and then drying routine - life is too short. I work on the basis if they are raw cashews they are good. I do soak as a bonus if I have the time.
I love the taste of the nuts after they are soaked, especially almonds.
The taste is richer and fuller.
I'd just put a handful in water before going to bed, its just making a new habit girls and guys
Life is too short to not make healthy habits >).
Also I think it is easier for your body to digest soaked nuts, I see them more as a vegetable when they have been soaked, and as a fatty nut when they are dry.
Soaking might help against gas too.
if you soak them, then dehydrate them they will last longer and you can keep them in the fridge for weeks to have on hand. I've realized that's the easiest to have for small amounts, then for larger recipes i plan ahead.
yes i would certainly soak them first.
i always soak my nuts then dehydrate them but i think they have a different taste than plain raw ones. have you noticed that? maybe i'm just weird- idk haha i like the taste of raw ones better but i've noticed the dehydrated ones digest more easily.
Should you soak and dehydrate all nuts? Are there some that shouldn't...
Is it ok to soak and dehydrate walnuts or macadamias? I'm craving cashews and macadamia nuts hardcore. I just got a dehydrator and want to try this out.
