I have been looking for nut free options for all kinds of dishes lately. Nut milks are a staple in my diet, so I created this seed/grain based milk as an alternative. This a really easy, super filling and very satisfying recipe. A good breakfast or dessert when you’re craving something sweet. If you don’t eat seeds, I assume this would be fine without the hemp. Also, if you don’t want to indulge in your cacao craving, enjoy it without.

Ingredients:

1¼ cup Water
2 Icecubes
¼ cup Raw Oats
¼ cup Hemp Seeds
½ Banana
2 tablespoon Cacao Powder
2 teaspoon Agave Nectar

Preparation:

Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend for a long time until smooth. Yum!

This looks wonderful! I'm wanting to try an oat mylk, but I think I'm going to try it with oat sprouts. Do whole-oats (not groats) in the bulk section sprout?

i am new to raw...do you need certain type of oats to make this? also..where do you get hemp seeds..can't find them in 2 of my regular health food stores. Sounds delicious as a breakfast ;)

Thanks everyone. springleaf: Yes, the oats can definitely be soaked to reduce blending time, but i prefer to not soak them. smiller, what is your oat milk recipe? that sounds like something i would love to try too.

smiller, oat milk? would you give me the recipe? I love oats, and so does my son.

ooo! I want to try this...I made my first batch of oat milk the other day and added a teensy bit of maple syrup. It is delightful!
