not raw, but warming as can be, and ginger is strengthening for immune system even heated in tea.
To keep it “raw” it is fabulous as a room temperature steep too, and a pinch of cayenne would make it “feel” even warmer.
3 slice lemon
6 slice fresh ginger root
6 slice fresh ginger root
1 head lavender blossom
bring water to boiling point, add ginger slices ( no need to peel) and lemon slices and turn off the heat immediatly. COver tightly and let steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
Ladel into cup, and add a sprig of lavender to each cup before serving.
Honey or agave to taste.
If you are doing this with room temperature water, add the lavender blossom and let it rest overnight or for at least 4 hours. Shake with honey or agave if you wish, and add a pinch of cayenne pepper before serving.
The warmth of the ginger, and the fragrance of the lavender keep me mindful during a winter meditation. I “refer” my attention to the cup in a similar way I can focus attention on breath to keep present during meditation.
