Amazing Avocado Icing and Fruit Fondue
Submitted by carlamartins on August 27, 2008 - 10:38am
You could eat it on it’s own like chocolate mousse… Veeeery good!
Ingredients:
2 Large avocados, peeled and seeded
½ teaspoon vanilla
sprinkle unrefined
salt
½ cup honey or agave nectar, (start with less and adjust to taste)
½ cup carob powder
Preparation:
Process the avocado, salt and sweetener until blended. Add powdered carob and process briefly until creamy.
*You can add one very ripe banana to stretch the amount of icing without
affecting the texture, but it will affect the taste.

Tamar.. I was researching about carob to see if I could tell you anything else, and I just found that carob doesn't have any caffeine and theobromine which can be addictive and can cause allergies, and can be found in chocolate... =]

Tamar... Carob looks like cocoa powder, it tastes a little sweeter though.. I'm not sure if you can find it in whole foods. When I used to live in California I never found it there.. So I would always use cocoa powder, that works just as fine...
