Green Recipes
My first green smoothie recipe to make! Very yummy and energizing. My favorite fruit smoothie was always Strawberry Banana with a bit of orange, so I added the spinach and it was a winner! This smoothie keeps well overnight in the fridge for a great ‘to go’ breakfast.
I love my dehydrator, and I’m just experimenting away!!! I read about sprouting and wondered if I could put a new twist on some of my favorites in the raw. The mixture is a thick creamy soup before it becomes a patty. I let my neice’s discriminating taste buds try it and she said ummm! Whoa was I blown away, because she doesn’t like very many foods unless they have sugar in them. I hope you like it too!
This recipe is the exact same recipe as my curried lentil patties except with a different consistency and I’ve ommitted the use of the dehydrator. I’ve also added other optional ingredients such as tomato puree.
This recipe can easily become a dip by adding less liquids and can be served with flax crackers.
Ok I did this because 1 there are none on here and 2 we are going to be called GONE Desserts if we don’t start making some recipes for better life. This juice is great, and I can only vouch for the mylk bag technique for this, as I don’t have a juicer. I have this juice everyday that I pack in my mason jars for work. It is great for all you TEA lovers who just need that taste of tea.
I totally jacked the basic concept for this smoothie from THIS recipe. I changed a few things & added a pic! :)
When you make TOO much fruit salad [ Kids Favorite Fruit Salad ], & you store the rest in the fridge … the next day it’s not quite as crisp & yummy. What to do? Make a smoothie, of course! :)
Even my daughter who is generally “OMG! Blech! It’s green!” thought it was good.
One of the most fantastic green smoothie ever! Here’s the recipe for those who want to experience the taste of orange and green mingled bliss…
This is my standard morning smoothie. It brightens my day and keeps me going for hours.
This beautiful dressing will make you crave salad. Even my kids ask for it! All credit goes to Wendy Rudell and her book Raw Transformation. I always use fresh basil and cut the garlic in half to taste. When out of honey we have used agave nectar or a single date and it’s just as delicious.
This is my new favorite green smoothie. It is smooth & creamy, low fat and alkalizing. I add dehydrated shredded / desiccated coconut & chill for a beautiful pudding. You could probably add thick creamed coconut for a smooth pudding also, but I have not tried that yet. But I plan to!!! MMMmmmm
