I usually prefer to cut fruit and eat it rather than drink smoothies. This may seem simple enough, but it seems to get overlooked. This makes a delicious breakfast and snack throughout the day. Just messing around with smoothie recipes. The red flecks in this come from the apple peel (my $20 blender left them in). A better blender might reduce these to a non-visible state, or you could just peel the apple first. Personally, I think they add character.
