Yield
2-4 servings
Ingredients
Few handfuls of beet greens
Couple large leaves of fresh comfrey
Stalk of celery
Handful of flax seeds
Handful of goji berries
1 cup fresh blueberries
2 frozen bananas
1 large ripe black plum
A couple inch chunk of fresh ginger (peeled if you like)
1 or 2 teaspoons spirulina
1 tablespoon maca powder
Agave or sweetener of your choice (to taste)
Water (to desired thickness)
Recipe Directions
1. Put some water in my blender with the goji berries and flaxseeds and let them sit for a few minutes while getting the remaining ingredients out, and then blend them well.
2. Then add the beet greens and comfrey leaves and keep blending well. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Bugchick's Thoughts
By bugchickThis is a wonderfully healing and mineral rich smoothie. Thick, tasty, and so good for you!
Don't be afraid of the comfrey! It is very safe to eat and use every day (yes, internally!).
It is one of the best healing herbs that there is, but it has gotten a bad rap.
If you are still hesitant, then just leave it out.
